Politics, IRA's and Being Excited About a Cookie Sheet

My husband and I are showing our ages....and may possibly be becoming mature adults prematurely.
Sunday, we sat around the house most of the day. We cuddled on the couch with our Kitty Kat and talked about Politics. We also went over some information I had had sent to us about IRA mutual funds. We made some decisions and plans for our future, talked about children again, and then decided that we needed to go to Bed Bath and Beyond to get a new cookie sheet.
So we did, we walked in and found a real good one for ten bucks and bought it and left. We were also going to get a shower curtian liner and some Campbell's soup from Wal-Mart but it was raining buckets so we decided not to.
Then once at home I made some chocolate chip cookies on the new sheet. Not only were they perfectly round and all the same size but they were just the right amount of crunchy and soft. I was sooooo happy! It was like the coolest thing that had happened in a while.
So in a world of youth that is more concerned about "women's rights" and "advancements in science and technology" there is still that small percentage of us out there that still get excited by homemade cookies. Things for me have been calming down more and more each day.
The most excitement in my life brought on by my enthralling political conversations with others.
It isn't such a bad thing.....slowing down. I feel much more mature than ever before. Seems like my thoughts are more accepted and senseable these days. I like that.
