New tunes.
Hey, all. It's been a busy time. I've been practicing and sessioning a lot, trying to get my mind & chops in shape for auditions for graduate school. Auditions are in March, but the preliminary materials are due in early December.
I just did a home recording with David Valdez and Dave Speranza (bassist-about-town). We recorded a handful of charts that I had lying around my "Finale Documents" folder. Some of them (No Other Love, I Have Dreamed) are reharmonizations that are "in progress", and are ideally intended to be played with a drummer. I think Dave & David did a remarkable job of holding it together. Here is a link to the sound files. I think it sounds pretty good, considering it was just done in my front room with my piano (no worries -- I have called the tuner) and a Zoom H4. I hope you enjoy the music!
