FOX News Channel ("The most powerful name in news" - not informative or any other more appropriate adjective for a news channel) is the most biased, unbalanced, opinion-oriented, underhandedly suggestive "news" program I have ever had the displeasure of having my TV stuck on. Cable box has been broken for a week. This shit is so blatantly conservative/republican and yet they continually brag how they're the most "objective" and "fair" channel out there. They have reporters, NOT commentators REPORTERS, who sit there and make personal comments about Howard Dean being insane, Amnesty International being an organization people can't take seriously anymore simply because they used the word "gulag" to describe Guantanamo, how the democrats are desperate and bogging down the system because they don't immediately approve of judicial appointees that put religion ahead of rights, how Bush is a father figure and polls that show his negative approval ratings are done by bad polling organizations, about how those who criticizes FOX are people who "don't think fair and balanced reporting is such a good thing". They sit there and make jokes and look smug and cut off live feeds when the President is asked questions that make him look bad. They take things WAY out of context in order to make people look foolish, such as just now they said someone wrote in a paper that "Conservatives think balanced reporting is the same as the truth and that's just crazy." That is so obviously out of context. They use the word liberal like it's a bad word for insane people. Etc. AND I'M TALKING ABOUT THE REGULAR ANCHORS, not commentators or opinion-oriented news people. If you want to talk about opinion programs, there's one on there that has an overbearing conservative and an obviously subordinant liberal who just gets stepped on while the other guy gets his radio show constantly promoted. Others shows are solo conservatives (Bill O'Reilley) who talk over the top of their guests to the point where guests have almost walked out. Unless the guest is agreeing, of course. Often they have a conservative guest and a moderate one who mostly agrees with the conservative, but is supposed to represent the opposing opinion. Or there are panels of conservatives, like their morning program where the three people sit there and laugh and joke about liberals, talk with deep respect about the Bush admin, and then have the nerve to say things like, "well I'm an objective journalist".

God it makes me so sick.
