Apologies in advance for a possible rant here ;) I don't have an issue with Anne Hathaway, I mean, she's likeable and all that but...wtf she's going to be playing JUDY? The great gay Goddess in the sky? There are few people who can pull that one off successfully, IMHO. For those who do, many are drag-queens - unless Anne forgot to tell us something ;) And I suppose Liza has also been attempting to play that role for most of her adult life :P Judy Davis was incredible as the 'older' Judy in Lorna Luft's Bio-mini-series 'Me & My Shadows' - why do we need another??

Sorry to say that those ruby slippers seem way too small for Anne to fill. Judy may have been teeny, but her talent was not. Just my tuppence worth...

It's still too early to see how this casting will actually happen. Since there's no mention of times/dates, then it could be years in the off-ing in which case, who knows if Hathaway will still be attached to the project when it does start. :: shrug ::

Hopefully this project will never happen - not just because I think Anne Hathaway is wrong for the role, but also because the book they're basing the project on has long been suspect on the detail-front. There are quite a few people saying the same over at judydaily, too.
