I'm ready for fall.

Sep 10, 2007 20:01

After a 12 hour day and more work than I've done in ages, the "Out of Office" message is on and I'm gearing up for dinner. Cooking dinner for Tim now (an experiment...I marinated chicken breasts in apple juice all day) and decompressing and making preparations to get the heck out of Georgia come tomorrow morning. I can pretend it's already fall while we're in Denver.

A phone conversation tonight confirms that I will be auditioning for a live bassist slot for Atlanta indie pop songstress Mary O (http://www.myspace.com/maryoharrison) on next Monday. Her music reminds me of a little Heidi Berry and a little Juliana Hatfield.....like it's 1993 and this is alternative radio in the south. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to play POP songs again. It's been ages. Looks like I'll be cramming to learn bass parts when we return for Denver.

That being said, I will be in DC either the last week in September or the first week of October to record with Blk w/ Bear (http://www.myspace.com/blkwbear) hopefully iron out some work grey areas).

There are other music projects in the work as well. This is going to be a busy autumn for me, I foresee.
