Just another sunday

Oct 26, 2008 12:06

It rained, absolutely poured water most of yesterday and into the evening, but I am happy to report that this morning we are sun kissed once again.

After our very hurried trip to the vet with Mugsy yesterday morning I made another loaf of bread in the bread machine and a few other domestic chores. My Dearest made a wonderful dinner last night which enabled me to finish the Bubblegum socks. He says he doesn’t want to wear them until he is going someplace so that he can show them off.

After dinner, while watching a movie I started the next pair of socks. Why is it that starting any knitting project - the casting on and knitting of the first couple of rows - is always the worst?

Shreader is a deader! Just goes to show you how much junk mail arrives in our mailbox. It’s off to the recycle center.

For all you quilters out there Nixie Chicks is having a special Fall and Christmas fabric sale…50% off.

On the most absurd list - As most of you may know, I keep an eye on what the unchristian nutcases at the American Family Association are doing and/or writing about. Here are two of its latest website postings.

And While I am at it…A Mini-Rant When a “Church” delves into politics and crosses the line between “separation of Church and State”, preaching to their congregations on who to vote for, lending their endorsements to a candidate and inciting their congregations to harm others of differing beliefs (preaching HATE & LIES, thus being totally unchristian) and denying or disparaging another religion just because it does not believe what they do - or, in short, intolerance (last time I looked we did have the freedom for all to worship in their own way included our founding documents), isn’t it time for those churches and their affiliated institutions to pay taxes? I think if they want to play, they should pay. Wouldn’t this make a great college debate subject?
