Stinky yarn and stealth cats
As I checked my email last night I noticed one from Lily Sugar’n Cream Design Team. I opened the thing up and to my horror read:
Yes, folks, you can now get yarn that smells of Powder, Camomile, Lavender, Aloe Vera, Vanilla Bouquet, Fleur de Lavande and Rose Petal. OK, this is going a bit far! And I truly have visions of someone sitting there using a yarn that smells like the disgusting car deodorant things. Knitting already relaxes me, why would I need aromatherapy along with it?
And yes, it is still raining and cool.
On the knitting front I sewed the shoulders together and knit the neck and back bands of the christening gown. I am going to wait to set the sleeves in and sew the side seams until there is some sunshine. Here is what it looked like before doing any of the above and removing the lifelines.
I also cast on for the matching blanket last night before going to bed.
I ordered some slipcovers for the wingback chairs upstairs and they arrived yesterday. After installing them the baby kitties had a blast because they hang to the floor providing them with the perfect hiding place from which to launch an attack on another passing cat. I lifted the skirt and there is Kali with the look of kitty joy on her face. I swear she was smiling, no really. LOL!
