And the Drama continues...

So let's see, a summary of what happened today:

*I am informed that the couple that formed on my team several weeks ago is now finito, I brace myself for the problems that will undoubtedly arise from this.

*Two of my guys dump buckets of water on one of the girls on my team, completely soaking her and causing her to go violent ballistic.

*I get a call from one of the other leaders yelling at me for tagging and TPing their van. Only problem? We didn't do it. We were in a completely different location at the time but the culprits put up signs with our names on it, framing us. Luckily I quickly cleared it up, but it made me really mad for the rest of the day. Finally found out who it was (a team that my team attacked with water guns on Monday, because they attacked us with water balloons last Thursday), and that the culprit had been torn a new one by our boss. He deserved it though, he really crossed the line with the tagging and tried to blame it on me. So not cool.

*Find out through various kids that one of the girls on my team has a huge crush on my assistant leader. He was not pleased.

*One of the seasonals that works with us (the seasonal who works with the sponsor that my kids and I can't stand) tells me today that he's putting in his two weeks because our sponsor treats him like shit. He is a very nice, relaxed, easy-going guy, and I definitely had never seen him so angry. But I can certainly understand why he wants to quit, because the gal he works for is awful.

So it was kind of a dramatic day. Oh and then there was yesterday, where I was sent to pick up a corpsmember AT HIS HOUSE because we thought at the time that his ride had forgotten to pick up. I find out later that this kid had in fact blown all of his paycheck on a new Xbox the night before and so he called his ride and told him not to come because he wanted to stay at home and play xbox all day. However, Our Little Genius neglected to inform his mother of this little plan, and so his mother was calling my boss freaking out because she didn't know how she was going to get him to work if his ride didn't show up. I was simultaneously furious and laughing my ass off at this kid's stupidity. I bet he never thought in a million years we'd fucking roll up to his house at 8:15. Jeez.

This job just keeps getting more interesting. Just when I think I've surely seen it all, these kids come up with the stupidest and/or craziest shit that completely throws me through a loop. Crazy to think that I only have three more weeks left.

It's so freaking hot in my room, don't make me go in there! At this point I'm considering throwing some blankets down in the living room (i.e. where the air conditioner is) and sleeping here tonight instead if I can't cool my room off. Boo, oppressive heat! Hurray beer!
