A Dragons fell off horse!Sam last Wednesday and I've royally screwed up my back and hip.  Sixty billion x-rays and ultrasounds later, I'm told I have a grade 2 tear of the gluteus medius muscle near where it joins the ilium.  So basically I fell off my horse and ACTUALLY busted the right-hand top middle of my ass. I am so so so glad to hear you've found a wonderful chiropractor who can work with you AND your bank account! I miss my chiropractor. The nature of the damage I did to my L5 disc a few years back means no chiropractor will touch me anymore. *epic sadface* I've been to a few since and they all take one look at my X-rays and say: "What a lovely picture of a herniated disc imposing on a sacral nerve. Next!"

I used to have a chiro that once jumped off her bookcase onto me in search of an elusive crack. I loved paying that lady money!

The acupuncture totally did the trick this time. I'm kind of sold on the practice now, to tell you the truth. I was very, very skeptical about the whole business, but you can't argue with results. First session didn't yield much change, but the second? Wow. I think I woke up pain-free for the first time in five years the next morning. My car shat itself just before I went to Thailand and now I'm moving, so I haven't been able to afford to go back since, but when I get settled in my new place and my wallet stops aching from the last month or so, I will go back and organise some regular sessions. Because as you would well know, my dear, waking up pain-free is not something I ever envisaged might be in my future again after I first injured my back.

And it was GLORIOUS.
