TV is stoopid...
So I was flipping through TV channels when I happened upon the Tyra show...I swear, she is so into controversy and pushing her own agenda, it just frustrates me. What a media #####, haha. The show is about Christian girls who hate homosexuals. First of all, come on Tyra. You can do better than that. Just bringing people on a show so that you can yell at them for being wrong and instead you just look worse than they do. Second of all, her questions are so contrived. It's like she doesn't even listen to the guests' answers and just reads from a list. At least respond with someone other than "you're wrong!" It just pisses me off that she is able to use her celebrity status to publicly hate on people with viewpoints other than her own. She doesn't even give them a chance to really defend what they believe, just state it. I mean, homosexuality is a sin and is therefore punishable by eternal damnation, but it doesn't mean that we should hate them and have nothing to do with them. I could go on, but I don't feel as preachy as I did 5 minutes ago when I started this blog. I have a lot of gay friends and acquintances, so I don't hate them, but I also don't approve of their lifestyle. It's a hard balance.
