Riverside High School has played host to many different activities, accomplishments, friends, people, and even personalities. The 04-05 school year has definitely been a roller coaster ride. Now many of you may think that it's a total bad thing to call the year a roller coaster ride, but in all actuality it's a perfect description of how the year went. Notice that a roller coaster has so many peaks, which resembles all of the goods. Sure it goes down right away, but the great think is that it comes right back up. Just like this year. When all of us were down, or when there were some controversy, we all managed to be a team and go right back up. I honestly can say I enjoyed this year. From so many accomplishments the school has earned, such as the football team finally reaching their goal in going to Texas Stadium! Or even academically, with so much scholarship money that was earned from this year's seniors, or even student council doing so well in getting 5 state awards and sweepstakes! I truly had an unforgettable year. I am going to be honest, this year's seniors were fun. I had some great times with these guys. But now that they are gone, it's time for the class of '06 to make a mark! And to be honest, I can rest assure that we have the potential to do so. There are so many talented and courageous students, I wouldn't know where to start. But the ones who I believe have a little more say-so, would be the class officers. And this year's class officers are loaded with great ideas and fantastic leadership skills. I am not saying they are the only ones with these unique characteristics, because I believe every single person in this class has that special spice to make the 05-06 school year remarkable. I am also honored to be a student council officer for the upcoming year. And once again, I believe each officer possesses and will contribute their OWN special leadership trait. And I have the privilege of working with 9 of these special people.
So as you can see, this past year was truly one to put in the books. But this next and upcoming year may be historic. I wouldn't mind going through another roller coaster ride. I can deal without the downs, but the reason why i say this is because a roller coaster NEVER STAYS DOWN!!!!
