Out of Policy?

My employer's travel policy on hotels states:[The Company] considers hotels over $200 a night ($300 for NYC and international destinations) to be out-of-policy.

I've got to travel to NYC at the end of April, but all the hotels I'm seeing on the corporate travel site that are under $300 per night (which isn't many) are flagged as "Out of Policy". WTF?

I'll check with my boss tomorrow, but I suspect she'll just tell me to ignore the flags and book it anyway.

Dammit, I'd better not have to stay in New Jersey again!
