They eventually saw the light...
I went to the Edison & Ford Winter Estates today for a tour. The laboratory tour was scheduled to start at 4:15, so I was outside of the lab where it looked like the tour would start at about 4:14. I saw some people go inside, so I looked around and didn't see any sign of a tour guide or tour group and decided to follow them in. A lot of people followed me in.
My parents and I looked around and took a few photos. Then a tour guide pokes his head in the back door and asks, "Are you here for the tour? Oh, meet me around the front of the building." Everyone files out.
Out front, the guide says the door's supposed to be locked. One woman says she was just following the person with the shirt that said "STAFF" on the back. She points to me.
Oops. Guess what shirt I was wearing. My blue Anime Boston 2005 staff shirt. :D
...but I followed other people in. It's not like I was the first one in or the one who left the door unlocked. My parents and I were pretty amused that someone mistook an Anime Boston staff shirt for an Edison laboratory tour guide.
The rest of the day, I kept looking over my shoulder to make sure nobody else was following me. :)
