Well January has come and gone. Let's see what I've acomplished.
January 2011
I want to learn/make at least 4 new recipes.
I made orange ginger beef using a jarred sauce, was very tasty.
I made ground beef wellington from Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution cookbook, also tasty.
From my Cook Once, Eat Twice cook book I made Cider braised pork & apples. Slow cooker meals
rock!
Plan at least one week of menus, shop accordingly.
This didn't happen, although I started working on a menu and then it just fizzled.
Do yoga a minimum of 2 times a week.
So, um I managed to get one day in, realised that French yoga is too difficult for me to follow.
Will need suggestions for either English yoga on TV or DVD's.
Plan to do DDR on workout mode at least once or twice a week for 15 - 30 minutes.
I did DDR one day and the mat kept slipping, I also ended up feeling totally wonky for 3 days
after, but doubt it was because of the DDR and more due to timing of feeling wonky :(
Scope out Reno Depot for materials to work on creating an area for the indoor garden.
Didn't go to Reno Depot, but have put together my list of herbs that I'm hoping to include and
have started clearing out the area that it will be going into.
Find a book or online tutorial on how to crochet. Find out what kind of needles I need.
This goal was a total WIN! I was offered suggestions as to what books to read, what sites to go
go and not only have I checked them out but I've been making things all month! It's a new hobby
that I'm very much enjoying.
February goals
Once again, learn/make 4 new recipes
Plan at least a weeks worth of menus, shop accordingly
Find a yoga show or DVD that I find enjoyable and is at my beginner level
Try to get going on DDR again OR spend 10 - 15 minutes at a time breaking sweat just dancing around to fun (possibly 80's) music at least a couple times a week.
Get herb garden area cleared out and ready for set up.
Make Tristan's first amigurami toy. At this point it doesn't have to be the Star Wars ones, but something, anything.
