Went for a surprise trip to the US this weekend to accompany Marianne, Vicky and the step dad on a ski trip. Having no gear for the job I opted to follow them only to read up on a O'Reilly PHP manual while siting by the fire. We had to leave early as Vicky busted her thumb after a bad fall.

This was a spot I never heard about, the Balsam ski resort, located near a small town called Colorbook where most of the attention is pointed toward snow mobiles and hunting. Awkwardly funny, but once again I got to move my ass around unexpected places. This and the sleep over at Marianne's parents made for a relaxing and interesting weekend.

Obviously music was played, a nice trio of Violin, Mandolin and Acoustic guitar. I never thought mandolins where so complex - four double strings tuned as a violin, none of my known cords worked but I had enough insight to discover a few interesting arrangements. I toyed around with the Piano later with M too.

Since I don't have to wake up early tomorrow I figured I would catch the late representation of the Watchment at iMax down towm. I plan on going there early so I can walkk around down town and probably go to the office so I can empty out my stuff as I should start working at a different location the following day.

I should note was had a nice roommate dinner this evening as well.
