I'm hoping this Labor day will be easy on us.
Having many new Islamic friends I tried to follow the first day of Ramandan with them. That shit is hardcore and it's only 7 in the morning, but they say the first three days are the hardest and then you don't even think about it. Maybe next time...
M. believes it is foolish to deprive oneself to get a sense of the hardships the less fortunate endure. One should already be aware of such issues and have the good sense to develop a conscience about it. Though I agree (and I'm sure many others do), I also believe there is nothing better than hands on experience. For example, knowing about survival techniques is one thing. Going through actual survival training is another.
Here's an idea of the view I had when I came in this morning. Not taken today, not the same angle, ect, but close enough. Wish I had my camera to make things look even better (plus the blinds where down in that one). We have a very nice peripheral view here that is simply amazing. Our section covers both downtown with Mont-Royal to South Shore. One day I'll as permission to do a 180 degree pan shot. With some luck the picture will get to leave the building.
This week will be busy again but I should be doing less OT very soon. I'm thinking about going to the cottage the following weekend, maybe even do a party of some sort in the process. I need as much vacation time as I can.
