Waking up in the morning is getting harder and harder. No wonder, I just noticed I'm in my third week of overtime and to make matters worse the coming weekend will feel like a true finisher. I have numerous events I need to go to (for the sake of catching up on shaky promises) but the worst is yet to come. I was asked to work on Sunday, which I felt obligated to say yes, and two hours later it was confirmed that I would be one of the photographers for the Vans Warped tour. /FACEPALM. The solution? Once I'm done working on Sunday (a 10 hour shift mind you), I'm off to the parc Jean-Drapeau to shoot pictures up until the late hours. I'll be missing on a lot of shows but I guess covering the headliners will have to do. Thanks to Nancy for that!
I also work early the next morning. What the hell am I doing.
Good news, I noticed that Guru and Red Bull REALLY work well on someone when his job has him sitting all day.
And another good news, this shift change comes from the need to replace regular staffers who are off on vacation. I'll be working weekends but in exchange I was given a day shift for the rest of the week. Can't say no to that! It's only for two weeks though.
I could use a break none the less, considering recent events.
After all of this I will say no to overtime for a little while. I see the same pattern re-emerging.
