Can't wait until Monday

It's not often that I get to say this, especially considering how bleak Mondays tend to be at work. I have a special term for it but it's not cool for me to say it out loud here. Many people are seasonal and we are in one of those yearly lows, so lots of people call in the most desperate of fashions and Mondays are special because many help services are closed for the weekend. The calls are always a bit more extreme in nature.

But I can't wait to get out of here. The past few days, though relaxing, have shown me that I'm not good at house sitting as much as I used to. I'm looking forward for the hour where the mall will be opened so I can go and take my walk. If it where up to me I'd go and visit some friends but I know I would just end up passing the bug and I'm not cheap enough to do that.

I'm looking forward to this next weekend where I hope to make due with many of the things I had to cancel. I've been living for the weekend lately and it was very annoying to set this one aside. In retrospective I could have drove up to the cottage and finish my sick days over there but I'm in no shape to take care of the place, and looking at all that maintenance to be done would drive me bonkers. Speaking of which, I have two weekends scheduled for the place, it may not be a bad idea to go there just for a day (not even sleep over) and work on the snow and wood so that I would not have to worry about that later. At the very least that stuff needs to be done and I don't trust (like) the guy that is hired to do it for us while no one is over there for extended periods of time.
