I'll try to recall all the Chinese movies I've watched. I am definitely missing a lot.
-Fearless****
A sad, shocking ending, but of course chock full of great action and suspense.
-House of Flying Daggers****
A love triangle, action, and intrigue. The scene with the drums was awesome but the ending was so sad. I didn't really understand why the girl chose to do that.
-House of Fury*****
I thought this was an exciting movie. The plot and action sequences were awesome.
-Initial D****
I thought the storyline was good. Jay Chou just seemed so apathetic yet depressed. Edison Chen was hot. Not a bad remake of an original Japanese story.
-Kung Fu Hustle****
Stephen Chow really reminds me of my dad's older brother. This movie has lots of overexaggeration but it was still good.
-Little Big Soldier****
Wang Lee Hom and Jackie Chan! Lots of action and a bit of comedy. I didn't like the ending though but that's history for you.
-Love in Disguise****
Good job Lee Hom coming up with this story. Great music, of course, and quite comedic. A nice love story though some things were a bit unbelievable.
-Police Story****
Sad ending but great cast, some comedy, and great action, of course. Nicholas Tse did a good job.
-Shaolin Soccer*****
I felt bad for the cooking girl but the ending turned to be happy. The special effects were insane! Very funny!
-Shinjuku Incident****1/2
Shocking and violent. Japanese and Chinese stars.
-Twins Effect*****
One of my favorite movies ever! The romance between the vampire prince and slayer's sister was so cute. There were plenty of funny moments in here as well such as "No... Prada", Edison Chen's ghetto English, and the beanie flying off when the slayer's partner swallowed the crystal. Great special effects and fight scenes.
-Twins Effect 2****
Not really connected to the first one except for the same actors. It was set in the past. The action scenes were great and the plotline was also good. It was also cool to see Jaycee Chan and his dad Jackie Chan in the same film though they didn't interact. Jaycee really looks like his dad!
