Bags
I made my first tote bag and drawstring bag yesterday...totally winging it, no pattern...nothing. They're very boho, bright and colorful so obviously they aren't for me lol. I just bought the fabric and thought it would be really pretty. I didn't plan to make a bag when I first bought the fabric...it was just left over scraps at jo-anns, anyho...here's pics. The big tote only has one strap at the moment cuz I'm feeling a little sick. I'll do the other one and sew it on later.
There's a bellydance picnic and swap and sell event for the students I take class with coming up this sunday. I might try and make a bunch of bags, pouches, maybe even pants to sell there.
If I find any good deals on fabric I'll probably make a really pretty black lace, black velvet gothic lolita tote for myself and a couple of other ones in burgundy or purple. I need some big bags I can carry my sketchbooks in for when I'm at school, downtown, whatever.
