Space Marine Sergeant

Sep 20, 2009 23:41

As I mentioned previously, I have gotten back into the Warhammer 40,000 hobby. Well, since that entry back in July I have gotten into it in earnest. I finished painting most of the guys I had that were unfinished from high school and then I painted up a new squad of space marines that Peter's brother gave me. As I work on the new models I recently bought, I wanted to share how my recent painting came out. I think I have advanced leaps and bounds over how I painted back in middle/high school!

Check it out this step-by-step painting of a squad sergeant figure!

The base model is grey plastic basecoated with black spray paint. The base was coated with a mixture of sand, rocks, and kitty litter to get a rubble/rock effect. Next time I'll post some pictures that show off the highlighting effect I have been working on this this batch of figures.
