My first post !!!! Hmmm, I think it would be about my kids and books :)
Yesterday I took my kids to the library and to my surprise, I was asked if I want to register my 8 month old daughter . I said : why not ? :) So now my little bee is an official library card holder! I guess it's never to early to start loving books!
My son Ronnie got his library card at 13 months.
I really like our library - they are getting better and better. I always find wonderful books there. This time we took books about Elmer by David McKee - Elmer the elephant is bright-colored patchwork all over, with a good sense of humor (though my son knows him as Benzi, a hebrew version of Elmer's name :) ), then a few books about Katie and her artful adventures in the museums ( I love these books by James Mayhew !!!! - such a brilliant way to introduce kids to art, it's all about little girl Katie who likes to visit museums with her grandma and while grandma rests, Katie finds out she can actually enter the painting and be inside it ) and Green eggs and Ham by Dr.Seuss.
My son finally agrees to read books in English, so I am trying to introduce him to american classics and Dr. Seuss is like our Marshak or Chukovskij.
So far we have read "Cat in the hat", "Fox in the socks" , " Hop on pop" and "Green eggs and Ham". Loved it!
