Question (OOC)
So, here's a question re: Masquerade, and I would love to hear opinions.
A player thinks up an IC event, goes through all the OOC hoops to get it approved, goes through some IC hoops, only to discover that his event is being blocked in-character for in-character political reasons, and now is faced with canceling the event both in- and out- of character, or holding it anyway and stirring undesirable in-character conflict.
How do you handle that on the OOC side? Not only the method for coming up with a good decision, but also how you prevent that in-game discouragement from becoming out-of-game discouragement. How do you stay motivated to keep trying things OOCly when you might have to back out because if IC social PVP stuff?
