Woman injured in truck-bike accident

A Lehigh County woman was critically injured Tuesday when she was struck by a pickup truck while riding a bicycle in Richmond Township, officials said.
Shannon Keller, 21, of Breinigsville was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown with multiple injuries suffered in the accident at about 11:30 a.m., officials said.
She was in critical condition late Tuesday, officials added.
Keller was westbound on Fleetwood-Lyons Road at Stump Road when she turned in front of a westbound pickup truck driven by Robert E. Smathers, 48, Rockland Township, according to Fleetwood police, who patrol the township.
Smathers was not hurt, police said.
Keller, who is a student at Kutztown University, was wearing a helmet, police said.
