Author Notes: I don’t know why I decided to write Tweener, but apparently I did. I don’t know if all this actually happened on his first day there, but I went with the idea that it did.
Grand larceny. Two years in a prison for that shit? Unbelievable. David figured he should sue the motherfuckers or something but his lawyer said that wasn’t necessarily possible and definitely not advisable. Fuckin’ attorney didn’t do shit to get him outta that charge. He figured lawyers were mostly just a waste o’ space anyhow.
He got roomed in with some old man serving some shitload o’ time. Didn’t really pay attention to the exact numbers.
“Yo, wha’s there to do in this shithole here anyhow?” He bitched because he couldn’t think of anything better to do with his time. What the hell. He bitched because that was all there was to do. “Just sit around? I’m gonna go nutso damn fast in here if I don’t get anything to keep me doin’ shit, know what I’m sayin’?”
The old dude - Charlie or some shit like that - just smiled a bit at him.
And after getting beat down by the homies and the white boys all day, when some freaky dude came up and started hitting on him, that was totally the last straw.
“No, no, no, you think you getting’ up in this, you got another thing comin’. You homo.”
“You got a foul mouth, you know that?”
Fuckin’ fag. “Yeah, I do. And you come near me again I’m gonna kill you.”
“Well then you’re just gonna have to, little man.”
