Title: Incongruous
Author: Aspen Snow

Summary: LJ has a picture of a man
Rating: PG
Word Count: 171
Author Notes: Takes place immediately after LJ's Mother is killed
LJ has a picture saved in his cell phone of a man dressed formally in a black suit, a gun in one hand, and his lips curled cruelly into the sort of razor sharp smirk that every villain of every movie always wears before they kill someone.
It's the smirk of cool satisfaction that curdles the blood.
This man with the tie and starched white shirt killed his mother, she's lying in a pool of red black blood that is spreading across white white tile; it's a cinematic type of contrast framed and full of horror.
It's like this man, with his cold formality and silenced bullets, walked out of a movie and into his life and LJ finds his intrusion so incongruous with his high school reality that he nearly erases the snapshot of calculated malevolence.
But he is a smart boy and he presses the save button, cements it into his reality, and runs.
LJ has a picture saved in his cell phone of a man who shouldn't exist.
