Word Count: 376
Author Notes: This is my first Prison Break drabble, so please comment - tell me it was good or it sucked or whatever. No spoilers either.

Michael looked around the prison yard, not quite sure what he was searching for. His eyes rested on the people he had grown to know and maybe even like, and the anxiety that always peaked when he first stepped into the yard died away.

Lincoln, as always, was watching him from behind the fence as the younger boy walked over to the other three gathered near the fence. Michael smiled and nodded at Westmoreland, bumped fists with Sucre, and even Abruzzi had pulled him closer into the group.

Somewhere along the way, Michael had gained three new members of a family. His brother Lincoln would always be the most important part of his life, but Michael didn't mind that there were others that were looking out for him … even if for selfish reasons.

Doctor Sara Tancredi walked past the fence, and Michael watched her and smiled at her when she gave him a small wave. He didn't notice the others' eyes on him, and Lincoln shaking his head. He came back to reality when she had disappeared through the doorway headed to the infirmary.

Sucre shoved him gently and started the whistling and teasing, Westmoreland smiled quietly and Abruzzi laughed out loud. Michael blushed in embarrassment engaging in the taunting until T-Bag sauntered over to see what the fuss was about, and the guards finally called the inmates back to their cells.

Back in the cell, he looked out of the bars and watched Abruzzi preparing for PI. He couldn't see Westmoreland, but felt sure he was fussing over Marilyn. Sucre kept prodding him, asking about the doctor and trying to play the whole "I tell you about Maricruz" thing he did so often when he was dying to know what was going on in Michael's head.

He met with them all later including Lincoln at PI, and they started their plotting and planning. Whenever anyone questioned him Linc would try to menace them, and it usually worked. Lincoln didn't like the idea of Michael working with these sorts of people, and it showed. Michael finally continued with the plan, but as he watched the rifts in the small group grow, he wondered how they'd each react to knowing he thought of them as family.
