I recently purchased a couple of albums that, I think, are great pop/rock albums worth taking a serious listening to. Neither have had major radio play yet, but I suspect that will change soon.
The band Mae has a great sound and a solid album in The Everglow. The single Suspension, which appears on the Warped Tour 05 compilation, should be all over the radio soon. The album tells a story and is worthy of picking up.
The Click Five released their debut album today. If you like Fountains of Wayne, get this album. They've studied at the Berkley School of Music and worked with FOW and an eclectic group of musicians to get this album out. It is pure pop-rock at its most catchy. The band even has a keytar player....that's old-school.
If you like that kind of rock, check 'em out. Heck, I thought they were worthy enough to plug on this little-read thing.
Got any music to recommend to me, let me know!
