So, if you're not from the Detroit/Metro-Detroit area, you may not get the point of this post.

Detroit's mayork, Big Kwammmmmmmmmi, has been in a lot of trouble with more scandals than your average Clinton. Well, anytime he (or his wacky parents) responds to criticism of his job performance, he brings up what I like to call the Earing Factor.

We all know Special K is a hip mayor with some bling bling in the ear. His defense, when he messes up (which is a lot) is that people target him unfairly...because he wears earings. While there may be some small percentage of people who use that as their sole basis for hating the mayor (I think that's absurd, there's plenty to criticize other than earings), it's just a lame excuse. So, basically, he always defends his earings.

Now that he is under a lot of heat, and pressure, and there is the very real possibility he loses his job (we are in an election year), it's time to roll out those important tv ads. In the ad, Big K talks about all the great things Detroit has become under his leadership and clubbing. But something is missing from the ad. What could it be? What is the one thing that "defines" the Kwam?

The earings. He took 'em out for the ad! My point is: it's definitely the political season. Interesting.
