After she had gotten her and Charlie back home, and Charlie in bed with some soup and such, Claire was off to the infirmary. She wasn't sure who was there but if no one was, she'd look for any kind of Tylenol or whatever just to help out Charlie.

Juliet, Jack? Anyone here?

She walks into the building, heading to the medicine cupboards. Trying to ( Read more... )

Juliet herself is rummaging through the medications. She doesn't look well - she's sweating and her skin is a sickly gray color. Every so often she coughs into the crook of her elbow.

Hearing a voice calling out, she attempts to call out.

Hell--

She's overcome by a coughing spell and clears her throat, attempting another scratchy greeting.

H-hello?

Hearing Juliet's voice, Claire moves over to find her and takes a good look at her.

You too? Juliet, why aren't you at home?

She walks over, rolling a chair over for the woman to sit in.

Claire, you're back?

She coughs a few times before sitting in the chair.

I'm fine. I'm tired, it's making it worse. I was just finding a few medications. Seems as though this is making its way through the barracks, I want to be sure everyone has enough to last.

She rubs her throat and blinks tiredly.

"Me too"? Are you sick?

Yeah, just got back.

Hearing that it was going around wasn't something she wanted to hear, but what could one do about it?

Oh no, not me.. well, not yet. It's Charlie. It's why we came back, I figured he'd be better off being here.

You know, if you're not feeling well, I can always do this. Maybe call over Jack and we can get this done. If you're sick you should be resting.

No no, Claire, it's fine. I'm trying not to let on that I'm sick or James will never let me leave. And I need to keep working.

She stands, wobbling a bit and clearing her throat.

What are his symptoms? Though I have a feeling I already know...

She watches Juliet, a little worried still but says nothing more about it.

Well, he's been coughing a lot, he's really tired, I guess weak. Not sure what else, he hasn't really been telling me. You know how he doesn't want me worrying about anything.

Tell him, as gently as possible, that he has to. Unless he wants this to get out of hand and spread to you.

Juliet rummages in the medicine and pulls out a blister pack of pills.

These will make him drowsy but should help with the coughing and fever.

Thanks.

She looks over Juliet once again.

You really should take a break, though.

Juliet tries to smile, but it doesn't reach her eyes.

Soon enough. I have a few more things to take care of first.

Claire, why don't you spend some time at home? I have a feeling you'll be coming down with this, too, and you shouldn't be working.

Well, I gotta make sure Charlie's okay. I figured that would keep me busy for awhile, and I've already assumed that I'm gonna catch it, being so close to him all the time.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see. But thanks, again. I'm gonna go see how he's doing.. Get some rest.

Please do. And make sure everything is as sterile as possible at home. While you're feeling okay, maybe go around and clean everything, give it all a once-over.
