Claire was sitting on the bed in her house. She had tried not to sob too much and too loudly but she couldn't help herself. It was something she had expected but only hoped that Samuel would have actually been nice enough to spare the day. Of course, she felt like a fool for thinking it.
She hugged her knees to her chest, holding some of the sheets up close as to hide her face. She wasn't sure where Charlie was exactly, but it would probably be better if he didn't see her in such a mess. All she had wanted was to be married to him. This island wouldn't even let that happen.
