Lights Out

There wasn't much that she could do when the lights went out but use them to her advantage. As they were gone, she pulled out as many candles as she could find before lighting them, placing them around the house.

It would be enough for them to see, and it also created a romantic feel, which was never bad.

Mmm, I certainly like the sound of that.

I guess black outs come with the best kind of ideas.

And now that the heat wave is over...

*He approached her and placed his hands on her hips*

We can take full advantage of that as well...

Yes. It was.. much too hot to do anything during that wave.

Although, now it might be a little chilly.

Mmmm, you have a point...but we can always warm each other up...

*Charlie smiled as he leaned in for a kiss and then he remembered*

Hey, Eko's back...

*He couldn't help but think about what he had talked about with Charlotte and what she had said about not putting anything off*

She stops, as Charlie had suddenly jumped to the topic.

Oh, um.. well that's good. I never really spent much time with him, we should visit.. or something.

Yes...that'd be great...and with him being a priest...maybe...after he's settled in and all...maybe we can talk to him about...well...changing your last name...

*Charlie's cheeks grew pink at the thought. Really, he couldn't believe how nervous he felt bringing this up.*

She had completely forgot about Eko being a priest and at the thought, she smiled toward him.

Charlie.. I think that's a great idea.

*His smile widened, his nervousness dissipating*

So living almost a year with me hasn't scared you off?

Nothing can scare me from you.

You know...I was kind of hoping that if we get off this place, it'd be nice if Liam and your mother and Aaron would be there...but the more I think about it...well, all of our friends...the people who have known us since we got together are right here, on this island. They're really as good as family and they deserve to see us exchange vows.

Besides, in this place...with how unpredictable it is...it's best not to wait...

I always wanted a big wedding but.. it's kind of obvious that it won't really happen now.. and I'm fine with it.

I mean, if we get off the island, we could just have another one.

What do you mean we won't have a big wedding? Love, do you know how many people live here? It's going to be huuuuge, trust me.

Yes, we can. A big beautiful one.

Well, it might be big, but there won't be a big reception or a dress or anything. There's no way I'm gonna be able to make a dress like that.

I wish there was a way to make one...

Hey, no need for a fancy reception and a fancy dress. What's important is you. Besides, you're beautiful in any and everything...

And as for the reception...if the electricity come on, we'll play some music and we'll make a cake or something...it'll be great...

If the electricity comes on? Charlie, do you plan on having it like, tomorrow?

She laughs a bit.

I'm sure by the time we decide to have it, hopefully, this rain will be gone.

Well...in this place, who knows how long they'll be out...

*Laughs*

But I'm sure everything is under control...we have an excellent security team...even though the monster constantly gets in the barracks, but I guess there's nothing to be done about that.

You know, in a way, I hope they're out for a while...it'd be nice if we could all have bonfire on the beach...my finger is getting better, so I can play my guitar and everyone can catch up with one another, especially with people showing up again...
