Hybrid cars overrated

Hybrid cars a crock of shit. Firstly, the mileage estimates are VASTLY over-rated. In recent tests the Civic hybrid returned 35mpg on average, roughly the same as the standard civic, but nearly $10k more expensive. Hybrid trucks and SUVs are obviously a joke pandering to yuppies, these vehicles get low 20s mpg at BEST. Then there is the

It's a good thing you get all your beer from the magical spigot in your Zen Garden, so you don't have any nasty packaging to recycle. Ahem.. :-). Otherwise, TOTALLY!!! (enthusiastic enough?) I currently only drive my car anywhere because I feel obligated... and it's 21 yrs old and and gets about 34 mpg and isn't even the small version. 80's Japanese cars are super-duper.
