Cricket World Cup

Just 4 days in and the 2007 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies has been non-stop excitement. England lost their opener to New Zealand, but then beat lowly Canada.
Off the field, England star Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff was suspended for 1 game after falling off a peddle-boat, drunk, at 3am. Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer was found dead in his hotel room yesterday morning, after Pakistan had been eliminated from the tournament.
On the field, Ireland miraculously tied with Zimbabwe (the first tie in world cup history) and then BEAT former champions and 4th in the world Pakistan.
Today, India scored the highest World Cup total ever, 413-5. Sachin Tendulkar smashed 57 off 29 balls. I had the honour of watcing Tendulkar bat when he played for Yorkshire in the 90s.
Last week, Herschelle Gibbs hit every ball of one over for 6. That's like 6 home runs in a row. Only the 4th time in the history of cricket, and 1st in world cup. He scored 72 off 40 balls. Mark Boucher hit 75 off 31 balls in the same match. That is incredible scoring.
England play Kenya on Saturday. Rock on.
