boring update if you're not a NFTYite

This weekend was super good. On friday i went to NFTY on the bus, which is always fun, and arrived first (of course). We then did a great program on body image. I can't think of a program in which I learned so much and had a lot of fun too. Saturday I went to San Fransisco w/ NFTY to the Jewish Home for the Aged, and hung out with old people to do tikkun olam (repairing the world). But the best part was definetly havdalah. To see people cry because of all the memories of NFTY and friends is just an amazing sight to see. You truly learn what NFTY means to you when you see how others have been effected by it. I'll probably cry next year when the seniors (who are juniors now) leave. But havdalah definetly allowed me to learn how important nfty is to me.
Big Fun was great, we had a campfire and sang songs. I hung out with hannah most of the time. Hannah is the most beautiful and interesting person I've ever met at NFTY. Then we watched Meet the Fockers and after the movie we went to our cabins. Usually the counselors wouldn't let us stay up and hang out with people, but since it was the seniors' last event, they let us stay up. I hung out with Todd and talked about random shit until 1:30, and went to bed.
On sunday we left Newman, and said our last goodbyes to the seniors. But that wasn't the end of my day. I went to whole earth with Hannah Spitze and Kelsey Smith. I bought this cute skirt and leather-green bag. The best part was definetly dancing with Kelsey in the rain to Diane Patterson. I learned that I love dancing like a hippe. Really, my inner child is probably a hippie. The only thing that was stressful in my weekend was meeting a friend who i was on bad/uncertain terms with, but in the end it turned out as good as it would ever turn out to be.
