I was reading this article on Cracked, and read that Spider Jerusalem of the graphic novels (comics) Transmetropolitan was based on Hunter S. Thompson. I know very little about the man, so I was surprised. (P.S. I love Transmet so much. You should read it. It's a little intense, but you'll get over it with love and time.)
