The Office. Season 5.
I LOVED THIS EPISODE. From start to finish, it was just fan-freakin-tastic. It was fast paced, fully of random, yet hilarious moments. It lacked the contrived humor of last season, and really reminded me of why I fell in love with this show in the first place. Michael was not over the top, Dwight was his annoying, yet lovable self. Angela is such a hussy (awesome!). Kelly was just...wow. Holly is a fabulous addition. Kevin is...poor Kevin. Creed is creepy as hell (also awesome). Phyllis is kick-ass. Andy is so delightfully sweet and completely oblivious. Ryan is a temp again (tee hee...thank god!). And Toby...oh Toby.
Oh, yeah, and I almost forgot...
JIM AND PAM ARE ENGAGED!!!!!! YAHOO!!!!!
I'm so ridiculously excited about this last part it's not even funny. I rewatched that scene an embarrassingly large number of times. It just makes my heart glow. :-)
Also, this episode set up the rest of the season really really well. We can see where they're going, where the drama's going to be and how. But I'm sure there are many many more surpirses to come our way...for which I am SO EXCITED.
I'm gonna be honest...I'm not sure I see Jim/Pam surviving this season. I'm hoping they'll make it work, but I'm sure the writers are going to take us for a wild ride before we'll know for sure. But I trust them...because they are really the best tv show writers on the planet. Hands down.
And now, we only have a week, not endless months, to patiently wait. Ahhh, I love tv season...
