Mod Post - Please Read
This is unlocked as it's directed at any 'not members yet' people out there. *g*
The aim of this comm was to create an easy-going place where authors would feel comfortable posting RPF (that they might not otherwise post) to a receptive audience. RPF isn't for everyone, so we like to ensure that everyone who joins up is going to help nuture a positive atmosphere. This is why the moderators always check out the LJs of people who apply to join, because the last thing we want or need is a bunch of sockpuppet accounts joining with the intent of making mischief.
So,yeah. We've had a few applications to join the comm from people who have never once updated their LJ or ever posted a comment anywhere and people who have no icons, no interests listed and have no friends listed whatsoever. Obviously, this makes it very hard to know if they're genuinely interested in being a part of this community.
If you want to be a part of this comm but you are a dedicated lurker or have only just created your LJ, please drop me a line at msgenevieve@livejournal.com. You don't have to blab your lifestory - I just need to know that we're all on the same page, so to speak. Because that's the joy of a moderated community. Heh.
And all you lovely members out there, if you have friends who want to join this comm, feel free to point them in the direction of this thread, m'kay?
