Why you need to read this: One of the main reasons this comm was established was to recommend fic from new contributers to fandom. These three short pieces say so much with so few words, and we can really learn from the minimalist use of language here. The drabbles extend three scenes without melodrama, but with maximum impact. parrot_sketch has managed to incorporate simple dialogue which leaves the reader in no doubt about what is to happen with each character - I would particularly like to rec Drabble 2.
