All grown up?
It's offical boys and girls. I have a job.
To those who think this is old news, before it was just an "offer". I officially faxed my acceptance letter just now.
I am an Assiantant Print Negociator for Zenith Media of Manhattan. They're located downtown - Hudson and Houston. Such an easy 5 or so stop subway ride from Penn Station. I'm starting April 4th.
Basically, the job is the technical/sales side to advertising. We buy space for our clients (Verizon, Chase Bank et al) in print - newspapers mainly - and we make sure they got everything they paid for. This includes but is not limited to page number, size, positioning, amount of pages between them and the next ad. Lots of phone stuff, staying on people's asses to make sure everythings done right - and always with a smiley voice - who's better at that than me?
The environment seemed fun and it was a very young crowd. There was music playing faintly and I heard a lot of laughter but saw people still getting shit done. I was told it's a great first job and I think it's gonna be awesome.
So here we go!
I'm extremely excited. And since it doesn't start til April 4th, I can still go to Boston for the next 2 weekends for Footloose and Senior Recitals.
