OK, I had this all typed up and ready to post and then live journal ate it on me. Bah… now to do it all over again!
Right, so after talking to sweet_kitsune about sims3 legacies, and reading one she sent me the link for, I got interested in doing a legacy of my own. I started off by finding the legacy challenge rules and tried to follow them, but immediately broke them as I was having a VERY hard time not cheating to make it easier! So, I started anew, this time I’m doing a story legacy style. I’m doing it my way, but following some of the legacy rules/guidelines.
I’ve decided to call my story Whimsical Woods, and have it focus on the Wood family. The main character of my story, and therefore the founder of the Wood Legacy, is Willow Wood. This family will follow a tree theme, each child born into the family will have a tree name. For this story I created 5 other families (and man does trying to get them into the neighbourhood make me miss the “old” way of doing things in Sims 1 and 2)!
The other families are the Asters (flower themed), Poppy and his wife Tulip; the Basils (herb themed), Coriander and his wife Rosemary; the Seeds (fruit themed), Blueberry, his wife Plum and his brother Huckleberry; the Topiarys (shrubbery themed), Gerrya, his wife Abelia and his brother Hebe; and the Veges (vegetable themed), Potato and his wife Carrot. As you will see in the pictures, each family has a different colour skin, Willow and the Basil’s have green skin, for the purposes of my story, they’re distantly related; the Asters are red, Seeds are pink, Topiarys are blue and the Vege’s are brown. I don’t know why I assigned them those colours but I did.

Huckleberry Seed and Hebe Topiary are bachelors crashing on their brother’s couches. They are the only eligible bachelors for Willow (yes there will be many other sims in the neighborhood, but for the purposes of the story, these are the only eligible males for Willow to marry). If enough people read this and comment and such, I’ll put up more information on them and hold a vote, if not, I’ll decide which one to go for when the time is right.
