France's globe is remarkably complicated, because with twelve hundred years of life come twelve hundred years of memories. There are so many scenes placed inside his that one will probably not see the same scene twice in the week the orb will be around before it melts. However, there are many common elements that keep reappearing inside his globe:
Monuments of Paris (and other cities, though Paris is most represented), in various states of creation
- Examples include the Eiffel Tower still being built in 1888, or of the Eiffel Tower in the 1940's when the Nazis still occupied Paris, or of the Eiffel Tower in the present day, or the Palace at Versailles during the reign of Louis XIV or the Palace in its current state, and many others.
Various French moments in history, mostly during and following the Hundred Years' War (pretty much from
this point and after)
- Examples include the Storming of the Bastille, The Battle of Agincourt (which France lost), The Siege of Orléans (which France won), The Battle of Yorktown (which France and America both won), The signing of the Treaty of Versailles, The Liberation of Paris, and many others.
Famous French people, non-moving figurines, with a placard at their feet stating their name (if they are not in one of the scenes as described above)
- Examples include Napoleon Bonaparte, Pierre Curie and his Polish wife Marie, Claude Monet, Simone de Beauvoir, Camille Saint-Saëns, and many others.
His other Nation friends, from various times, with a placard at their feet stating their Nation name (if they are not in one of the scenes as described above)
- Examples include Germany from the start of World War One or Germany in the present day; Chibitalia (Italian Renaissance North Italy) or North Italy in the middle of World War Two; Canada during his colony days or Canada in the present day; England during the Hundred Years War or England in the middle of World War Two.
