Emmys
So...the Emmys. Who else expected Raymond to take it? Who else secretly wished that lightning would strike all the people who voted for that show? Who else wishes Raymond a horrible, flamey death? I have watched exactly one episode and immediately concluded that the show was tripe and the title was BS, since this person sure as hell doen't love Raymond. Arrested Development is far superior. I hate it when shows get awards simply because they're going off the air *ahemFriendsahem*
At any rate, this is my flist's friendly reminder: Season 3 of AD premires Monday September 19th. As in today. WATCH IT!!! *g*
I was happy to see LOST take it, though. And how hot did Matthew Fox look in a tux? DAyum. And Naveen Andrews all grinning and happy...*sigh* Wednesday needs to come, like, now. I just finished re-watching LOST and getting my roomies hooked on it before they go back to Ireland and have to wait for months for the new season (heh heh heh). I'm definitely scrabbling at the arm rests in anticipation every time I see and ad for Season 2.
Back on topic, I wish I didn't care so much about the Emmys, because it's all manuvering and advertisement and promotion, etc, etc. Despite evidence, a part of me always hopes that the actually good shows and actors will win. Silly, silly Heather.
Anywho, yesterday I went out with the Roomies (and one Roomie's visiting Irish bf...who's from the country. Can I just say, "gah?" I understand about 50% of what he says. Tops. I know it's English, but...). Becca, one of the roomies, left for Ireland this evening. Annie, the other one, and her boyfriend leave for Ireland on the 9th. Luckily for me, I found a new roommate super fast. Not even an internet one! Weee! I now get to delete the info online, which keeps garnering emails from 29 year old men which read like, "hey, sweat thing...let's room together," and have a person move in who I actually know. Hooray!
