Hey Guys,
Guess what Thursday is? No, not the resurrection of NBC's Must-See-TV line-up! (There's much better stuff on cable these days, anyway.) It's a film screening party!
The film my good friend Jason Ryan wrote and directed is finally going to be screened! Well, not the whole thing, just all the footage that has been shot so far. We are trying to raise funds to shoot the rest in the Winter, but want to show you what we've been working on. I helped work on it, and even let them film in my apartment! Let's play spot my furniture!
The film is called Ugly (Is a Movie) and features Sam Suver and Amber Hubert (She was in We Go Way Back!) as well as Caitlin Hill and the cutest little kid, Finn Judd. The soundtrack has music by local and national acts like Akron/Family, Corespondents, Doomsday 1999, the Maldives and others.
So, come see what we've done! I haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure it's awesome. We've got some amazing people working really hard on it. It's not your everyday-home-movie-camcorder-type-film, it's the real deal! I think you'll like it.
The screening is Thursday the 26th at the Seven Gables Theatre (911 NE 50th St. in the U-District) at 9:30pm.
It's $10 suggested donation at the door, but it is a fundraiser after all. There will be some great solo sets by The Maldives and RB Reed. If you don't know and love these bands by now, here's your chance to do so.
There will be raffle prizes from really nice local merchants like Cupcake Royale, Sonic Boom Records, Landmark Theaters, and Crave just to name a few! There will also be snacks and booze.
