Ooh, very exciting! I liked the description of Clark fighting and the pain he was feeling. His respect for the Bats must have gone up a few notches, considering they feel that kind of pain all the time.

Unfortunately, this little fight, I fear, could spell BIG trouble for Clark!

Cool - I'm glad you think the scene was exciting! Yay! A little more action never hurts this story, I figure! (and there's quite a bit more of that in store for our intrepid heroes!)

Yes, that little fight doesn't bode well for Supes. And oh my, yeah, I'd say he already has tremendous respect for the Batclan for what they do every day without superpowers. Now, this isn't, of course, the first time he's lost his abilities (or most of their power, at least) but it could be one of the worst occasions. (and each time it happens, his admiration of Bruce grows, I would think!

But you're right, Clark has been powerless before. He just gets a new appreciation for the Bats every time it happens. ;)

This was incredible! The description of the fight was amazing! I seldom have the opportunity to read about Superman having to fight without his powers and in such dire circumstances as these are (in comics you get to see him. Here I visualize everything thanks to your powerful words) I'm glad he did so well, considering his many physical disadvantages, though now he has another problem to add to his ever increasing difficulties. But he helped the children and I'm sure he considers the pain worth while.

I personally love the scenes in the comics - and the animated series - that have battles and fights in them, especially where Superman has to really struggle to come out on top in them. I'm simply beaming here that you are able to visualize it all with my prose! *beams*

And I agree with you: I am sure he DOES think the additional pain - and risk of discovery - is a worthwhile sacrifice to save those two children. He is special like that. :-)
