In For a Penny ...
Decision Made!
Well, after over a week of the torment of wrangling back and forth, back and forth over my decision on what I'm going to do for a living next year, I've finally made up my mind, and am taking the plunge. I've decided to accept the offer of the teaching position. *whew - am totally worn out now*
For good or for ill, as uncertain and scared as I'm feeling about it, it's done, and I've chosen. (and in fact will sign the contract tomorrow, and then I'm truly committed!) I am trying my best to feel upbeat and positive about it, and hope that I will be able to do a good job, and be the kind of person and teacher they hope that I'm going to be, and that I have what it takes to give of myself so completely. I do feel I'm stepping a bit out on a limb, but I'll just have to have faith that I'll find a good enough balance to stand on it confidently, and maybe do some good along the way. (and just maybe not give up all of my dreams while I travel this new path.) Here's to more new beginnings! :-)
Just thought I'd let everyone know, especially those of you who were so kind and gracious in providing support and opinions and good thoughts as I struggled with that wretched indecision of mine. Thank you so very much, my friends! :-) And I wish all of you every bit of optimism and good things in your own fields of work and personal endeavors too. Thank you warmly!
