FIC: "A Taste of Sunshine" (Kyou Kara Maou)

Sep 23, 2007 01:00

Well.

After a very long hiatus, I am posting a new fic. (wow, eh? Will wonders never cease.)

Apologies to those waiting for something more in the DC Comics vein, (that will come!) or in the Gatch vein, (that'll come too!) but here's a short story written for the inestimable

Awww, thank you, moshesque, very much for that! I truly appreciate it. (especially since it was my first time writing this duo, I was a wee bit nervous.)

And I hope you yourself will write something new with them sometime soon???? :-)

Thanks!

*stutters* R-recommend it on your own website?? Is that okay with me????

Seriously? *is floored* :-0 Wow. Thank you very much for the huge compliment! Of course it's okay with me! I'm honoured. ^_^

And delighted to hear you will be writing more Conyuu soon! Yippee!

And meanwhile, I would like to humbly ask you if it's okay if I could borrow one or two of your lovely Conrad/Yuuri icons sometime. I have no idea nor programme for how to make homemade icons, and I know you've shared some of your work in the past with creditting. And I find myself in need of a couple of good KKM icons. Would that be okay with you?

Thanks again hugely for your comment and request. You've added to my joy today!!

*dances* I made it to this tonight after all! And what a wonderful way to end my evening after a hectic day!

I know what you mean about Conrad demanding his POV. He's quiet but insistent about it, isn't he?

Mmmm, and you remind me that no matter what fandom you're writing in, you will always be the Queen of H/C to me. In all seriousness, I just don't know anyone who does it better. You make me melt every time.

Conrad ripped his sword free and raised it again, trying not to notice how it shook slightly. "So, any others who want to end their contract early?"

So awesome. You really capture his coolness--both in the sense of "composure" and in the sense of "awesomeness"--in this fight scene.

He marvelled for a moment. That voice ... it was callling for him, as amazing and wondrous and impossible as that suddenly seemed.

Aw, Yuri's litany is so powerful and innocent and desperate and...Yuri. I'm such a sucker for the power of names...so this:

But here it was Conrad's turn to falter. How could he explain that he loved that ( ... )

Jen! Wow, thank you very much for the lovely feedback! And wow, it sounds like you're so busy! I hope you didn't stress out or lose sleep over trying to read this all last night. I wouldn't have minded in the least you needing time to relax and enjoy it when you had time ( ... )

Yeah, KKM! I am so anxious for the new episodes coming out soon, sigh...great fic, I sent this one to my daughter in college as she also loves KKM and is the one who got me hooked on it! And I am still anxiously awaiting another Gatchaman installment, I truly enjoyed that fic you were writing even though I'd never heard of that series before I ran across your story!

Nerthus, hi, and thank you very much! *waves*

I'm so glad you liked my little offering (hum, actually it turned out a little longer than I thought it was. How did that happen??) in the KKM world!

Oh, that's very generous to pass it on to your daughter. (I take it then that she's got nothing against slash/yaoi?)

And that is tremendously sweet of you to remember that WIP Gatchaman story! (and wow, you hadn't even been a fan of that old anime before? That's even more praise than I'd realized!) In answer to that, I've recently unearthed my ancient floppies (boy, how 20th Century is that??) and found the first parts, and so yes, I have every intention of posting the rest and finishing that comafic. Thanks for the encouragment!

I appreciate your comment and enthusiasm! Cheers to you!

*happy sigh*. First I'd like you to know that I loved that story from the first moment I finished reading the first part of it when I discovered it. It's all the more true now that it is finished and I hope you will get other ideas to write more ConradxYuuri ( ... )

Great! Thanks again for going to the effort of finding the image! It really is a nice and dramatic piece of art, isn't it? (wish I knew how to thank - and credit - the artist.) I love art best that tells a story, and this one does do that, all right! :-)

Maybe you can credit the artist by linking to the site : http://kimamani.k-server.org/maruma/maruxtop.htm ... Saddly I don't understand written Japanese well enough to deciffer the name of the author anywhere...

I'm glad to hear you have other ideas ^^. I agree with you as well : finding time to write them is the difficult part ^^.

So sweet! Even when very nearly mortally injured, these two are so sweet. :)

And although the sadness suddenly crashed over him in its usual drowning wave, Conrad smiled slightly

Mmmmm, this line is so very Conrad, and I do love him so. :)

Thank you very much for your kind words! I really am overjoyed when people - and people I don't know at that! - take time to read my writing, and then make a comment!

Yes, I agree entirely: these two are VERY sweet, even when on the brink of death.

Thanks for thinking that line was in-character for Conrad! He does seem like the sort to suffer in silence, and to cover it with smiles and care for others around him, doesn't he?

Thanks for reading!
