(no subject)
Whew! - busy week already!
Sunday was lovely - unearthed great-grandma's favourite china teapot (one of those ones that you can *tell* was used every day she had it); found some matching china for the table; baked muffins (unsucessfully but I have vowed to try try again) and then waited for my guests.
Mmm... home made scones and sponge courtesy of the Dragon lady; lots of fun conversations and energy from connaire & sasha; and the eventual arrival of the Technology Friar bearing the makings of a computer upgrade.
So sunday night saw me over fed on yummy tea things; happy with my socialising AND with a nifty faster computer. - oh - and I also made some nice beef/barley/onion/vege soup too!
Monday was a basic day
Tuesday night was "meet the author" at Pulp Fiction and the author was Jasper Fforde of the Thursday Next books. Mmm.. man is rather scrummy and highly amusing. Also recognised some faces in the crowd as I waited for an hour to get my book and toy dodo signed (the dodo is for Ben's mum as a combined christmas/bday gift so at least I'm well organised for that - with 3 months to spare :-)
And tonight I have SCA A&S to attend... opps - better run or I"ll be late for it (thankfully the hall is only 5 minutes from my place)
