Narita Tokyo...

Feb 03, 2008 20:53

so, am bnow waiting for my flight back to singapore at Narita Airport after a very eventful time here. i have definitely enjoyed myself very much. visited many places like the Tsukiji Fish Market (where the most STUPENDOUS sushi was had), to the imperial gardens (where i managed to see cherry blossoms in full bloom although its still winter), to Asakusa (to see the famous Shrine), over to Meiji-Jingumae (the ever popular Meiji Shrine built for the Meiji Restoration), Shinjuku, Harajuku, Shibuya and the all important visit to Shinjuku Nichome. i have loved every part of my visit here. Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Roppongi and the Hyatt Regency Tokyo in Shinjuku. dont think i would have the amount of money to spare on a room like that again soon. but oh well....

i love the way the japanese dont make noise on the train. its amazing to observe the level of discipline they have while they are travelling. and of course, this is juxtaposed against the loud shouts of welcome and thanks when at the sushi restaurant. i did lots of shopping, and am going to be boarding the plane with far too many boxes of japanese food stuff.

today was also the first time i have experienced snow falling whilst i am walking around. as in... previously, the snow would have fallen, and i would wake or arrive only in time to play with the snow on the ground before it melts. but this time, i woke up to a SNOWED tokyo, which continued to snow for the whole day and even NOW, is still snowing! (mind my tenses and such, the cold has frozen it over). my flight has been delayed by 5 hours as a result. oh well. i think i will only arrive back home at like 530 am, which makes it only logical to wait till 615 when the STUPID BLASTED midnight surcharge is over to take the cab home (ok, so call me stingy).

ok, the one thing i observed over here is that SHOPS close really early! or is it just me? anyway, the nice kind yahoo chaps are asking me to pack up, so its time to get on the plane!!

see ya all back home!!!
