Notes: I got bored and wrote this. I'm going on a second-person binge lately, I think. I wrote this one so that it could be from the POV of anyone you want, regardless of gender. The characters have no names. Also, I totally abused semi-colons. But look, ma! No italics! I write a lot of depressing shit.

I like this line. It has a sad familiarity to it.
It seems like you're using terminal illness as a metaphor for unrequited love? Like, you shun all other human contact except his because you are so consumed by him that nobody else seems to matter, even (especially?) yourself.
I like this one a lot. This is probably one of my favorites. I look forward to seeing more of your writing.

As for what I was aiming for, my goal for this piece was free interpretation. I was aiming to be just vague enough that You and He could have any sort of relationship the reader wanted to see. You could be any gender or sex, as well. But yeah, my personal interpretation was unrequited love.
